Conduct a literature search to select a qualitative research study on the topic identified in Module 1. Conduct an initial critical appraisal of the study.

Respond to the overview questions for the critical appraisal of qualitative studies, including:

What type of qualitative research design was utilized to conduct the study?

Are the results valid/trustworthy and credible?

How were the participants chosen?

  • How were accuracy and completeness of data assured?
  • How plausible/believable are the results?
  • Are implications of the research stated?
  • May new insights increase sensitivity to others’ needs?
  • May understandings enhance situational competence?
  • What is the effect on the reader?
  • Are the results plausible and believable?
  • Is the reader imaginatively drawn to the experience?
  • What are the results of the study?
  • Does the research approach fit the purpose of the study?
  • How does the researcher identify the study approach?
  • Are the data collection and analysis techniques appropriate?
  • Is the significance/importance of the study explicit?
  • Does the literature support a need for the study?
  • What is the study’s potential contribution?
  • Is the sampling clear and guided by study needs?
  • Does the researcher control selection of the sample?
  • Do sample size and composition reflect the study needs?
  • Is the phenomenon (human experience) clearly identified?
  • Are data collection procedures clear?
  • Are sources and means of verifying data explicit?
  • Are researcher roles and activities explained?
  • Are data analysis procedures described?
  • Does analysis guide directions of sampling when it ends?
  • Are data management processes described?
  • What are the reported results (descriptive or interpretation)?
  • How are specific findings presented?
  • Are the data meanings derived from data described in context?
  • Does the writing effectively promote understanding?
  • Will the results help me care for my patients?
  • Are the results relevant to persons in similar situations?
  • Are the results relevant to patient values and/or circumstances?
  • How may the results be applied to clinical practice?
  • Please be sure to answer the questions thoroughly using complete sentences and APA format. Explain responses to yes/no questions in detail by presenting information found in the study to support your response.

As a research organization, the National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) concentrates on supporting and enhancing individual health, society’s well-being, and families. The inquiry institute is noteworthy in probing various infections, likely treatment methods, and real-world solutions for medicinal practitioners like nurses. Moreover, the health institute promotes and completes research while offering medical training on universal human health. The research entity delivers evidence critical to nursing practices. The nurses apply the evidence and understanding to supply quality services and results through execution while handling patients with diverse sicknesses. The quantitative study presented holds quantifiable results founded on statistics.

The four current priorities in NINR underneath nursing inquiry include managing the impacts of chronic sickness for quality life, developing understanding towards change in lifestyle activities for improved health, identifying practical methods to lessen health inequalities and augmenting end-of-life knowledge for patients, and harnessing innovative technologies to support social requirements (NINR, n.d.). I support the NINR priorities since they focus on managing human health and provide practical solutions that assist my approach as a nurse in enhancing patient care. Moreover, it gives the most significant technological progress that strongly influences managing patients’ chronic disorders. I commend more preparation programs in NINR and field training in offering knowledge and skills to medical professionals for quality service provision.

The research program from NINR can translate into evidence-based practice in my working environment. Evidence-based practice (EBP) improves healthcare quality, increases patient results, and empowers clinicians. Based on the research program, as a registered nurse in community public nursing and outreach with vaccination and testing in my county, I will use the research evidence and evidence-based theory. I will apply an evidence-based approach to providing society-based health care, comprising outreach and campaigns. The study’s assessment of the evidence helps get more information about the outreach and campaigns focused on improving individual and society’s quality of life. The community level is a vital stage for primary health care, essential to my provision of services and significant public health purposes, and the involvement and empowerment of societies concerning their health.

Rising vaccine approval use of evidence-based methods and strategies will be crucial in my practice as a community public nurse focusing on outreach with vaccination and testing with the county (Attwell et al., 2021). There is a necessity for efficient approaches to surge vaccine acceptance in different community backgrounds founded on the best accessible proof. Providentially, the field of immunization approval research is developing fast with the creation, execution, and assessment of various measurement apparatuses, alongside interventions to manage the difficult array of drivers and obstacles to vaccine recognition (Attwell et al., 2021). I will apply the research initiatives and translate them into evidence-based practice in my outreach with vaccination for COVID-19 and Monkeypox to increase the acceptance of vaccines in communities that have long held a negative view of immunizations.
